Get to Know Our Products: GDRLabs Conolidine+™ Natural Relief Support

Welcome to the first entry in the Get to Know Our Products series, where we highlight one of GDRLabs’ products, explain the ingredients contained within, and break down what they intend to do! This blog series is your one-stop shop for understanding what makes the products we produce tick. Without any further ado, let’s get to know our flagship and most popular product: Conolidine+™.

Conolidine+™ is a labor of love that has spanned many iterations and years. Roughly 10 years, in fact, and over five variations! Starting in a humble, <750 sq. ft. laboratory, we set out to produce a Dietary Supplement that could help bridge the relief support product gap. We found that options for relief were very stagnant and could prove extremely harmful on both sides. On one side, you have traditional, over-the-counter pain relievers in the form of NSAIDs, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, like acetaminophen or ibuprofen. These products are amazing and practical; however, though based on natural remedies, over time, the additives contained within and the abuse of these medications have led to the discovery of potential organ harm and other concerns.  

On the other hand, you have highly effective pharmaceutical drugs. These are truly double-edged weapons if not properly administered and vetted. Look no further than the Opioid Crisis here in the United States of America to see what can happen when we use opiates and opioids without general, intelligent restraint and understanding. These products are truly a gift to humankind and provide people in severe pain with lasting and effective relief, but the need for something that kills pain that well should be few and far between.

Enter GDRLabs with the questions: 

“How is there no middle ground? Can we produce something that may help the body’s natural ability to alleviate aches and pains that is safe and works WITH the body? People in pain deserve options that differ from NSAIDs, which can hurt organs over time, and the sledgehammer that is opiates, so what can we do?”

These questions and many others that followed the research and development process fueled us to locate and understand what natural, non-pharmaceutical plants and compounds are available to manipulate to produce a product that can truly be an answer… Here’s what we found: 

Crepe Jasmine, or Tabernaemontana divaricata, is a perennial, pinwheel bush that grows mainly in Asia but can be found all over. China and India have been using this plant in their traditional medicine for millennia, so when we started researching, we noticed a relief support element to the plant’s abilities. So, we started testing. From a scientific standpoint, we found that the alkaloids contained within Crepe Jasmine, specifically one called Conolidine, can potentially work with your body’s natural brain chemistry to alleviate aches and pains! We sourced our Crepe Jasmine from reliable, global vendors that practiced third-party validated testing and started figuring out how best to deliver it to the body.

This was a good start, but we wanted to produce a product with synergistic effects (fancy for working together to get the job done) to ensure we weren’t relying on new research, so we dug even deeper…

We found another standout. A compound that is found in trace amounts in peanuts and egg yolks, called (it’s a mouthful) Palmitoylethanolamide, or PEA for sane people, has begun to be studied for its ability to work with your body’s natural ability to reduce inflammation. Inflammation is almost interchangeable with the word ache. Generally speaking, if something is causing you pain, your body has created an inflammatory response to protect you from further injuring yourself. This is a natural and very much needed bodily reaction. Unfortunately, if it lasts too long or the injury is never treated, inflammation quickly develops from friend to foe. With this in mind, we decided to find a source of PEA that could be integrated into the formula so that our chances of helping your body’s natural ability to alleviate aches and pains were increased twofold.

More progress! But then, why stop there… If we can fit two potentially effective, natural compounds that are nearly novel in this product, why can’t we add a winner we already know about? This is how Black Pepper entered the building, and what an entrance it had! 

It wasn’t long before the mountains of research in front of us nearly forced us to integrate Black Pepper Extract, specifically its main compound Piperine, into this and every other GDRLabs formula. We found that while Black Pepper does have its own excellent anti-inflammatory benefits that have been long established, it also possesses a unique ability to bolster OTHER compounds to get them delivered faster! It goes without saying that to someone experiencing pain, the quicker the better, so we were entirely aboard the Black Pepper train (even though it’s a touch spicy).

With these three ingredients, we had finally discovered the (almost) final form of Conolidine+™ regarding the main ingredients. We then had to integrate it with our patented DualPolar™ extraction method and find the best carrier oils to maximize absorption and ability. So, we chose Olive Oil for its fat content (gets absorption rolling and minimizes the need for food when taking) and for its fantastic health benefits in the anti-inflammatory space…

And just like that, GDRLabs Conolidine+™ Natural Relief Support product was finally born. Since then, we have managed to help THOUSANDS of customers locate a stop-gap product. Something that can truly work WITH the body instead of coercing it like a drug, and that is all natural. We are far from done with finding the best all-natural, plant-based ingredients that may help your body’s natural ability to alleviate aches and pains, but Conolidine+™ is quite the start!
